Agapanthus cards create a feeling of being produced “in another time,” one in which true craftsmanship and patience helps create treasures which are cherished for a long time. 

             Agapanthus Handcrafted Cards was started several
years ago by its artist and owner, Mykle McCoslin, as a way to give her family and friends unique and loving cards that could not be found anywhere else. She would make each and every card  as personal as possible, using materials and images that would reflect the recipient's personality. 

It was not long before multiple requests were made to make these beautiful cards available for purchase; Agapanthus Cards was then created for everyone to enjoy!

Every Agapanthus card is truly a work of art, created entirely by hand, with no two being exactly alike. They are created in the artist's studio in Los Angeles, California, which is amazingly flooded with natural sunlight and floral fragrances from surrounding gardens.

Each card is created with great detail, care, and most importantly, Love.  The materials  used are carefully selected, ranging from a mixture of collected images, beaded fabrics, lace, feathers, leaves and pressed flowers, and many wonderful handmade papers created from all over the world.

The name “Agapanthus” is Greek in origin and means 'love flower', a symbol of love and beauty; And love and the appreciation for flowers, nature, and all that is beautiful around the world is the feeling that these cards create.  When you hold one of these cards, it almost feels like you are stepping back in time, where true craftsmanship and art held very high importance.

“My cards are ones that customers take time in selecting because it is not just ‘anyone’ who will receive an Agapanthus card. You have to be a really special friend or loved one to receive these cards because they say more than just what is worded on the front.  It took time and patience to make it, and most importantly, time and love in selecting the right one."

The California Gift Show marked Agapanthus’ debut in the trade show market.  May 2006 marked Agapanthus' fourth year actively participating in the National Stationary Show in New York City.   Look for our exhibit in this upcoming 2007 show!  Details to come soon!
